Reginald Bernard Thomas is a seasoned professional, gifted author, and devoted servant leader with over 26 years of experience in retail management and a lifelong calling to inspire, teach, and empower others through faith and purpose.
A proud graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Reginald holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance. His pursuit of spiritual growth led him to further his studies at Birmingham Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, strengthening his foundation in biblical teaching and ministry leadership.
Reginald is an Ordained Elder, mentor, teacher, and motivational speaker who believes that faith and action go hand in hand. His dedication to ministry was further recognized in March 2025, when he received a Certificate of Appointment as Pastor, affirming his continued commitment to shepherding God’s people and serving the Kingdom with excellence.
His global mission work reflects that same heart for service—spanning Uganda (2022) and Jamaica (2024)—where he shared messages of hope, love, and transformation that continue to impact lives across borders.
A passionate advocate for literacy and youth empowerment, Reginald believes that every child deserves the opportunity to dream big and see those dreams come to life. This conviction led him to become a self-published author in 2020, using his writing as a ministry tool to educate, uplift, and inspire.
To date, Reginald has authored 15 books, many of which are featured on Amazon.com. Among his most celebrated works is “I Am Black History”, a children’s book developed in partnership with the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. This impactful work helps young readers around the world celebrate diversity, embrace their identity, and connect with history through the lens of faith and empowerment.
Reginald’s mission reaches far beyond the written page. His interactive, faith-centered books have touched young readers in Kenya and Jamaica, bringing joy, creativity, and spiritual growth through international mission partnerships.
Currently serving as a Chaplain at UAB Medical West, Elder Thomas continues to live out his God-given assignment—to share God’s love, uplift others, and inspire change—both locally and abroad. He resides in Bessemer, Alabama, where he continues to write, teach, and minister with passion, purpose, and a servant’s heart.
